Artington Legal was founded in 2012 by Tad Ostrowski. Tad qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and worked as a corporate finance and M&A lawyer in the City of London before moving in-house. Having spent over 12 years leading in-house legal teams in international blue-chip businesses, he felt that there was an opportunity to provide a new kind of legal service.
Tad had instructed many external law firms during this time, including magic circle and silver circle law firms in the City of London, as well as many other international law firms based in the US, in Europe and in other parts of the world. Tad wanted to build a law firm with a team of senior lawyers who:
- see the big picture;
- understand commercial drivers;
- are innovative and proactive in getting the deal done;
- work collaboratively;
- keep the client well informed;
- take a modern approach to pricing; and
- think about more than the law.
